Abu Dhabi spreads public health awareness

Abu Dhabi, Dec 11 : Abu Dhabi’s municipal body has launched an awareness campaign to explain the importance of maintaining public sanitation in the city’s streets and neighbourhoods.

The drive’s objective is aimed at making people shun bad habits, comply with laws and regulations in place to provide a decent life, and ensure a superior life and sustainable environment for fellow residents in the city.

The campaign kicked off from ICAD Residential Complexes at Mussafah, which accommodates about 60,000 workers, by distributing awareness-raising leaflets written in Arabic, English, Urdu, and Bengali.

These leaflets carried messages urging people to maintain the cleanliness of the city, and leaving habits such as throwing waste in other than designated places, throwing cigarette butts ‘ and ‘ chewing gum on the ground ‘ and ‘ sidewalks, and spitting on the streets and roads.
